During this period, we split up. Lars went to Singapore and KL for some work meetings. Jacqui stayed in Germany, where she hung out with some friends, first in Frankfurt and then in Hamburg. She drove up to Hamburg and stayed with our good friends Steffi and Olaf.

Lars flew back to Frankfurt on 13 July, landing in Frankfurt on Singapore Airlines at 8:20 PM. With only hand luggage, I was soon at my hotel for the night. Dinner was food that had been taken from the plane. The night's sleep was interrupted by a work call at 3 AM, otherwise it was an uneventful stay.
