After a very nice nights sleep on the train, we wake up around 7 AM, but spend the next few hours snoozing.  Finally, when it is a bit after 9 AM, we get up and get dressed and go see if we can have breakfast in the dining car.  We arrive in the dining car just in time - we get the last servings.  It is not too bad for train food (and, in any case is quite cheap).

Over breakfast, no one can really tell us what time we will arrive.  They tell us many different things and the train is not going very fast.  We find out later that they are having troubles with the engine.  When finished with breakfast, we head back to the cabin to wash and see what all the others are doing.

We decide to head back to the bar car and to play some cards with Paolo.  We have some wine, cheese and crackers with us that we decide to enjoy.  When the wine runs out, we finish off the bottle of brandy that we had brought with us from the train station last night.  By 2 PM we are feeling quite good, but we still cannot find out when the train will arrive.

Some time in the afternoon we pull into a station.  They disconnect the two engines and we sit there for a while.  They then put two other engines on.  After waiting for a while, the engineers show up.  Paolo and Lars talk to them and see if they can ride in the engine.  They do not let us - smart of them.  Off we go, but things do not seem to speed up.

We spend the afternoon hanging out in our compartments having naps.  Sometime in mid-afternoon we stop again and they remove the engines.  After a while, one engine is attached and we are wondering how one engine will do when two did not move us very fast.  But we were pleasantly surprised when we finally pulled away and we went at a pace faster than a quick jog.  We had some hopes of getting in before tomorrow!!

The train finally pulls into Victoria Falls train station at 6:50 PM - almost 12 hours late for a 12 hour journey.  We were glad to be there and cheered as we pulled in.  We gathered up our stuff and jumped off the train and headed off to the campsite.  When we got to the campsite, we dumped our stuff and headed off to the showers.

For dinner we decide to go to Mama Africas.  It is quite good food and they have live music.  From there we headed over to the Kingdom for some drinks and gambling in the casino.  Still did not lose any money.  Walked back to the campsite and got back just before midnight.
