After breakfast today we explore
the town. First we head to the Museum of Natural History. It
turns out to e an excellent museum with great displays. It provides a
very good background on Zimbabwe and it history, geology, fauna and
people. We spend most of the morning wandering around the
museum. We then wander into town.

After walking around the streets
for a while we go to the National Gallery. We see a number of artists
at work and look at some of the exhibits. We then spend some time in
the shop, picking up a few things. Then off to the spot where we will
meet the truck. We grab a bite to eat and then we all pile into the
truck and head off.

We arrive at Antelope Park near
Gweru shortly after 4 PM. After setting up camp, we get a briefing on
what the activities are here and sign up for those that we want to do.
At this park they breed lions and we go and watch the feeding of a number of
the cubs. They are amazingly cute and we get the chance to play with
them. One of them loves the attention and we scratch his
stomach. We are reluctant to leave, but they cannot be disturbed too
much.

We then spend the time before
dinner hanging around the fire, having a drink and watching the
sunset. After dinner, we continue to relax around the fire. Jim
digs out some marsh mellows and we melt then over the fire. The fire
is huge and it is great to sit around. We throw some coins and bottles
in the fire to see if they melt (we will have to check in the morning as the
fire is too hot to get too close).
