Today we will be heading to Yankari National Park.  But first, we have some things to take care of.  After a quick breakfast off the truck, we head into town to try to get the zipper on our tent fixed.  KK, the Malaysian running the restaurant, takes us to the local market and shows us where the tailors are.  A guy there tries to fix the zipper.  He makes some progress, and we think he has fixed it, only to find out later that it still does not work.  

From the local market, we head over to the post office - we want to check one more time to see if any more letters have come.  We are fortunate, there is one more card there for us - it was the missing one.  It had arrived in Kano only the day before.

When we get back to the truck, we pack up our stuff and at 11:45 AM head off.  We had picked up some fried rice and some pastries to eat on the truck as we drove.  The drive was uneventful.  Shortly after 5 PM, we arrive at the entrance to the game park.  After paying the various fees, we drive towards Wikki Hot Springs and the lodge located there.  On the drive in, a few of us get up on the roof seats and enjoy a nice ride in - if a bit cold.

Once there, we set up the campsite and Lars starts the fire.  We then head over to the bar for a quick drink before dinner.  Dinner is cubed beef stewed with couscous.  Another great meal.  We hang around for an hour after dinner and then head off to bed.
