We get an early start this
morning as we want to get into the game park and do some game viewing.
We skip breakfast and head off at 6:40 AM - we will have breakfast in the
park. We arrive at the park at 8AM and after formalities at the gate
we head towards Namutoni campsite. We take two hours there to have
lunch and to relax.

|
After packing everything away, we
head off on our game drive shortly after 10AM. We are heading west
towards the campsite that we will stay at tonight. Along the way, we
see plenty of game, including: Springbok, giraffe, ...
|
|
... a zebra mother with her colt,
ostrich, ...
|
|
... wildebeest, a marshall eagle
up in a tree, gemsbok, a bustard, damara dik dik, a goshawk and a
black-backed jackal. We arrived at Okaukuejo campsite at 2:15 PM and
after we set up our tents, we had a bite to eat. The rest of the
afternoon was spent relaxing and hanging around the campsite. We
worked on our journals.

|
Before dinner, we headed over to
the spot lit water hole for the sunset and to see if we could see any
game. We were treated to a very nice sunset and as we watched the sun
go down, ...
|
|
... a group of zebra showed up
for a drink of water. It was quite a sight to see them approach the
water hole slowly and carefully. They were very skittish, but once
they perceived no danger, they lined up at the water's edge to drink.
We headed back to the campsite for dinner.

|
After dinner, we headed back to
the water hole, but there was not too much to see. There is still lots
of water around, so the game do not have to come to this artificial water
hole - best time is the dry season when there are no other water holes
nearby.
