This morning we spend a relaxing
time by the beach and take a swim in the ocean. It is great - the
water is warm and the waves are just big enough to be interesting, but not
too big to make it dangerous. We have a lot of fun playing
around. After a quick breakfast, we this opportunity to give the truck
and all its contents a good cleaning. There is quite a lot to clean up
and out and it is good to see Christie clean once again.

|
After finishing the clean up, we
go back into the ocean for another swim, after which we take a shower to
wash off all the salt. Following a quick lunch at the resort, we pack
up the truck and at 2:30 PM drive to Accra, capital of Ghana.
|
|
We get to Accra at 6:30 PM and
check into our hotel - the GHASOM hotel. It is a nice hotel, except
that it is a bit noisy. They have a mosque right next door, along with
a couple of "discos". The night clubs go on until 2 AM and
the mosque has it's first prayers of the day at 5 AM. At least the
place is clean and has nice firm beds.

|
After a quick shower, we all head
out for our group dinner as this is the end of the first segment of the
trip. A number of people will be leaving (and joining) us here.
We have dinner at a Chinese restaurant. And it is quite good.
Many of the courses are prepared in the same way with the same sauces - but
we have to remember that we are not in Asia. We stuff ourselves and have a
great time. After dinner, we head back to the hotel.
