The celebrations continued
today. A few of us struggle out of bed just after 9 AM and, as we are
hungry (and thirsty), begin to prepare the champagne and pancake
breakfast. While the pancakes that Jacqui prepared were very good,
everyone seemed to be focusing on the champagne and orange juice (Lars was
trying to hit Sam's swag with the corks as he opened the bottles, but no
such luck). We had twelve bottles and they all went by noon. As
many people drifted in over the morning and some did not drink any at all,
you can imagine how much the early birds must have drunk. Some showed
up wearing their sunglasses - we wonder what they had to hide!

We had our Secret Santa (where
one person randomly picked another to give a present to) and it was good
fun. Everyone did a good job in getting gifts. By the end of the
morning, we were dancing on the tables.

We all had a great time (even
though some are looking a bit worn out).

We took a break for a couple of
hours and than all re-gathered for lunch. We had a group lunch at a
restaurant at the beach. It was not too bad (our cooking was better),
but at least we did not have to cook it n or clean up afterwards. The
wine (or beer for some) continued to flow over lunch.

There was a well deserved break
in the afternoon - naps were in order. Then around 7 PM, our wine and
cheese party started. We had picked up around 25 bottles of wine
(there is about 18 of us) and a bunch of cheeses and munchies. We dug
right in and started sampling the different bottles. It was a great
way to try out a number of different local wines. Believe it or not,
we made it through all, but one, bottle of wine.
